Ziply fiber update email

Hello Neighbors, I got the email from the board today saying "The contractors working in Snowline are focusing on installing fiber to homes that have previously requested service. They have a list of 199 homes. If you have not signed up for fiber service, contact Ziply immediately to sign up." When I called Ziply, they seemed to have no idea about the project and just said that Fiber is not available at my address. The best they could do was sign me up to be notified when it's available, which doesn't sounds like the right way to to get on their list for trenching. Does anyone know the right way to request service?

Hello Snowline Members,  


We have relayed the information given to us by our project manager, but unfortunately, when you call Ziply, they say fiber is not available in Snowline. This seems to be because fiber is not officially in Snowline yet. As previously communicated, we are still waiting on Ziply to get permits for bringing fiber into Snowline (to bring it across the highway). 


Currently, all of the work done by Ziply, including the trenching, is infrastructure, so we are ready to “light up the fibre” once it is in Snowline.


As stated in the previous email, they are working on homes that previously requested fiber service. We are trying to find out the names on their list of 199 homes and will get back to you when we find out anything. This, unfortunately, is not an easy process.
