Possible Important Votes Taking Place at Upcoming Board Meeting

Hello Community Members,

There is a Snowline Board Meeting tomorrow night, where the board "may" vote on several important issues. One item on the agenda says:

Discuss and Possible Action: Snowline Amenities Use and Event Participation by Guests without an owner present.

When I inquired what possible action meant, specifically, does this indicate that the board may be voting on these items, I was told the following from a board member:

"It means just that, we will discuss and potentially take action, meaning vote on the topic."

I asked if this language (voting may take place during the meeting) could be added to the agenda to make the membership aware that a possible vote may be taking place. I was told by the same board member that "The board is satisfied that our current agenda language is appropriate and compliant. This matter is considered closed.”

So, at tomorrow's meeting, our board, which is made up of owners who have stated they rent their properties, will (may) vote to open the amenities and events to renters and guests when no owner is present. This is concerning because rental owners benefit from this agenda item vote, creating a potential conflict of interest.

If you are interested in joining the board meeting, here is the link to join online if you cannot attend in person:

Unable to attend board meeting by Zoom tonight. As property owners we feel a decision like this should be voted on by the total membership. The sense of community is damaged when you have renters who come and go and don’t feel any obligation to Snowline. We feel this board is making too many decisions (Spark consulting, changes to renter access) without a vote by general membership. Thank you for addresses our concerns. Ted and Linda Yeager
