Word of Caution

Hello community,

Just a word of caution. I have at least 8 instances of the snowline employee, Evan, acting aggressive, threatening and even violent in manner towards members and guests. The board is doing their best to hide these actions but many, many members have had the misfortune of having this happen. Many have been reported to the board but only certain members will be taken seriously.

I want everyone to be safe and enjoy their time in Snowline. An employee threatening physical assault towards members should never be tolerated, but the board is not taking any actions. Please be careful around Evan and document every encounter.

Please reach out if you would like more information. Stay safe!

Thank you for sharing your concerns.

I want to reiterate that the safety and well-being of all Snowline residents, guests, and staff is a top priority. Allegations of aggressive or threatening behavior are taken seriously and handled with appropriate care and diligence.

Please know that the Board is legally and ethically obligated to handle all personnel matters with confidentiality. While we may not be able to share specific disciplinary or investigative details, this does not mean concerns are ignored. Every formal report submitted to the Board is reviewed and addressed in accordance with our policies and obligations.

To date, only one formal accusation of improper behavior involving a staff member has been submitted to the Board by a community member. That matter was reviewed in full; however, based on the available information, the allegation could not be substantiated.

It’s important to note that the Board can only act on concerns that are reported through proper channels and supported by specific, factual information. If residents have experienced or witnessed concerning incidents, we strongly encourage them to email written reports including dates, times, locations, names of those involved, and a clear description of what occurred to president@snowlinecc.com .This is essential to allow for a fair and thorough review.

In support of accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement, the Board has taken the following proactive steps to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all:

  • Reiterated expectations around professionalism and respectful communication with all staff.

  • Reviewed and updated internal procedures related to member and guest interactions.

  • Implemented a new recording policy for direct staff-resident interactions (where legally permissible):

  • In compliance with Washington State law (RCW 9.73.030), which requires two-party consent, staff will inform individuals at the beginning of any conversation that it is being recorded.

  • All parties must verbally consent before the conversation continues.

  • These recordings will be used exclusively for training and issue resolution purposes.

  • Installed additional security cameras in key common areas, which serve as both a safety measure and a resource for reviewing any reported incidents.

  • Exploring additional training opportunities to further support effective and respectful communication among staff.

While we welcome input from all community members, we also ask that concerns be communicated responsibly and directly to the Board. Making public, unverified accusations can unintentionally create unnecessary fear or division and hinder efforts to resolve issues appropriately.

We remain committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment here at Snowline and appreciate everyone’s cooperation and engagement in helping achieve that goal.
